The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the warning lamp for the electronic stability control (ESC) system may not turn on when there is a problem with the ESC system. Safety Risk: A driver that is not aware of a problem with the ESC system could have an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to update the antilock brake system (ABS) control module software.

Problème : Le voyant d'avertissement du système de commande électronique de la stabilité (ESC) de certains véhicules pourrait ne pas s'allumer lorsqu'il y a un problème avec le système ESC. Risques pour la sécurité : Le risque d'accident pourrait être accru pour un conducteur qui n'est pas conscient de l'existence d'un problème avec le système ESC. Mesures correctives : FCA Canada doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour mettre à jour le logiciel du module de commande du système de freinage antiblocage (ABS).
