The issue
Issue: On one motorhome, the cap screws that attach the steering wheel may not have been properly tightened. As a result, the steering wheel could loosen or detach and cause a loss of steering control. Safety Risk: A loss of steering could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Newmar will notify the owner by mail and instruct them to take their motorhome to a dealership to remove and reinstall the cap screws that attach the steering wheel.

Problème : Sur une autocaravane, les vis d'assemblage qui fixent le volant pourraient ne pas avoir été correctement serrées. Par conséquent, le volant pourrait se desserrer ou se détacher et entraîner une perte de contrôle de la direction. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de contrôle de la direction pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Newmar doit aviser le propriétaire par la poste et lui demander d'amener son autocaravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire retirer et réinstaller les vis d'assemblage qui fixent le volant.
