The issue

Issue: On certain motorcycles, the wiring harness may have been routed incorrectly or may be missing protection. As a result, the wiring could melt or be damaged by contact with surrounding parts. If this happens, the engine could stall suddenly. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: KTM will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to inspect the wiring harness. If necessary, the technician will install any missing protection and re-route it. If the wiring harness is damaged, it will be replaced.

Problème : Sur certaines motocyclettes, le faisceau de câbles pourrait avoir été mal acheminé ou ne pas être protégé. Par conséquent, le câblage pourrait fondre ou être endommagé au contact des pièces qui se trouvent à proximité. Si cela se produisait, le moteur pourrait caler soudainement. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte soudaine de puissance moteur peut augmenter les risques de collision. Mesures correctives : KTM doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur motocyclette chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter le faisceau de câbles. Au besoin, le technicien installera les protections manquantes et réacheminera le faisceau de câbles. Si le faisceau de câbles est endommagé, il devra être remplacé.
