The issue

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the power wire for the 12 V refrigerator may not have proper circuit protection. As a result, the wire could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: Wiring that does not have proper circuit protection could create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to install a 20-A mini-breaker on the power wire for the 12 V refrigerator.

Problème : Sur certaines caravanes, le câble d'alimentation de 12 volts du réfrigérateur pourrait ne pas être adéquatement protégé. Par conséquent, le câble pourrait surchauffer et fondre. Risques pour la sécurité : Un faisceau de câbles qui n'est pas protégé adéquatement pourrait créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Forest River doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur caravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire installer un mini-disjoncteur de 20 ampères sur le câble d'alimentation de 12 volts du réfrigérateur.
