The issue
This recall was replaced by Transport Canada Recall No. 2023-469. Issue: On certain motorhomes, the connections on the battery disconnect switch (located near the entry door) could contact the refrigerator frame. If this happens, there could be a short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Triple E Canada will notify owners by mail and provide you with a protective rubber cover for the terminal posts on the battery disconnect switch, and instructions for installing it. Alternatively, you can take your motorhome to a dealership or RV service center to have the cover installed.

Ce rappel a été remplacé par le no 2023-469 de Transports Canada. Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes, les connexions de l'interrupteur de débranchement de la batterie (situés à proximité de la porte d'entrée) pourraient entrer en contact avec le cadre du réfrigérateur. Si cela se produisait, il pourrait y avoir un court-circuit. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit pourrait créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Triple E Canada doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir un couvercle en caoutchouc destiné à recouvrir les bornes de l'interrupteur de débranchement de la batterie, de même que des instructions d'installation. Les propriétaires peuvent également faire installer le couvercle par un concessionnaire ou un centre de service pour VR.
