The issue

Issue: On certain fire trucks equipped with a Weldon vehicle multiplex system, a software problem could cause the power distribution unit not to shut off if there is a short circuit or a wiring problem. As a result, the unit and/or wiring could overheat and melt. Safety Risk: A power distribution unit and/or wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Rosenbauer will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the Weldon power distribution unit software.

Problème : Sur certains camions de pompier munis d'un système multiplex pour véhicule Weldon, un problème de logiciel pourrait empêcher l'arrêt du dispositif de distribution de l'alimentation en cas de court-circuit ou de problème de câblage. Par conséquent, le dispositif et/ou le câblage pourraient surchauffer et fondre. Risques pour la sécurité : La surchauffe et la fonte d'un dispositif de distribution de l'alimentation et/ou d'un câblage pourraient créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Rosenbauer doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire mettre à jour le logiciel du dispositif de distribution de l'alimentation Weldon.
