The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the battery cables could become damaged by contact with a metal panel. If this happens, the cables could short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Additionally, a fire could result in passengers being evacuated in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Prevost will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a Prevost service center to inspect and, if necessary, reinstall the grommet for the battery cables.

Problème : Sur certains autobus, les câbles de batterie pourraient être endommagés au contact d'un panneau en métal. Si cela se produisait, les câbles pourraient subir un court-circuit. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit peut créer un risque d'incendie. De plus, un incendie pourrait entraîner l'évacuation des passagers dans un environnement non contrôlé, ce qui pourrait créer un risque de blessure. Mesures correctives : Prevost doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autobus à un centre de service Prevost pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, réinstaller les passe-câbles des câbles de la batterie.
