The issue

Issue: On certain street sweeper vehicles, the pin securing the rear door hydraulic cylinder may not have been manufactured properly. Over time, the pin could corrode and fail when the door is in the open position. If this happens, the door could fall and close suddenly. Safety Risk: A rear door that falls suddenly could increase the risk of injury for the operator and people nearby. Corrective Actions: Bucher Municipal North America will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the pin. The dealer will also install a retaining bracket to the rear door, affix warning labels on the street sweeper, and provide you with updated operation and maintenance instructions.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules de balayage de rues, la goupille de fixation du vérin hydraulique de la porte arrière pourrait ne pas avoir été fabriquée adéquatement. Avec le temps, la goupille pourrait se corroder et se briser lorsque la porte est en position ouverte. Si cela se produisait, la porte pourrait tomber et se fermer soudainement. Risques pour la sécurité : Une porte arrière qui tombe soudainement pourrait augmenter le risque de blessure pour l'opérateur et les personnes à proximité. Mesures correctives : Bucher Municipal North America doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer la goupille. Le concessionnaire doit aussi installer un support de retenue sur la porte arrière, apposer des étiquettes d'avertissement sur le véhicule, et fournir au propriétaire des instructions d'utilisation et d'entretien mises à jour.
