The issue

Issue: On certain school buses, the exterior handle for the rear emergency door may not be strong enough. As a result, the handle could break and cause the emergency door not to be able to be opened from the outside. Safety Risk: A door that can't be opened could slow your exit from the bus in an emergency. This could also delay emergency responders from entering the bus. Both issues could increase the risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to replace the rear emergency door exterior handle.

Problème : Sur certains autobus scolaires, la poignée extérieure de la porte de secours arrière pourrait ne pas être assez solide. Par conséquent, la poignée pourrait se briser et empêcher l'ouverture de la porte de secours de l'extérieur. Risque pour la sécurité : Une sortie de secours qui ne peut pas s'ouvrir pourrait ralentir l'évacuation de l'autobus en cas d'urgence. La situation pourrait également retarder l'entrée des secouristes dans l'autobus. Ces deux problèmes pourraient augmenter le risque de blessure. Mesures correctives : Micro Bird doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autobus scolaire chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer la poignée extérieure de la porte de secours arrière.
