The issue

Issue: On certain motorhomes, the ignition circuit may not have proper circuit protection and could short circuit. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall only affects motorhomes built on a Powerglide chassis equipped with an IFM chassis controller. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Tiffin will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, install circuit protection for the chassis controller.

Problème : Sur certaines autocaravanes, le circuit d'allumage pourrait ne pas avoir une protection de circuit adéquate et pourrait causer un court-circuit. Si cela se produisait, il pourrait y avoir une perte de puissance aux roues. Remarque : Ce rappel ne concerne que les autocaravanes construites sur un châssis Powerglide équipé d'un contrôleur de châssis IFM. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de puissance soudaine aux roues pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Tiffin doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur autocaravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, faire installer une protection de circuit pour le contrôleur de châssis.
