The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the body control module (BCM) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the trailer taillights may not work when towing a trailer. Note: This problem could cause a trailer error message to display in the instrument cluster and various electrical systems not to work properly. Safety Risk: Trailer taillights that don't work could make the vehicle less visible to others and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the BCM.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, le module confort-commodité pourrait ne pas avoir été fabriqué correctement. Par conséquent, les feux arrière de la remorque pourraient ne pas s'allumer lorsque la remorque est attelée. Remarque : Ce problème pourrait faire en sorte qu'un message d'erreur concernant la remorque s'affiche sur le groupe d'instruments ainsi que le mauvais fonctionnement de divers systèmes électriques. Risques pour la sécurité : Des feux arrière de remorque qui fonctionnent mal pourraient rendre le véhicule moins visible et accroître le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Ford doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire inspecter et, au besoin, remplacer le module confort-commodité.
