The issue

Issue: On certain motorcycles, the wiring harness for the left handlebar switch may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the horn and/or the high beam headlight may not work. Safety Risk: A headlight that doesn't work properly could cause reduced visibility. A horn that doesn't work could prevent a rider from warning others of an unsafe situation. Both issues could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Honda will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorcycle to a dealership to replace the left handlebar switch housing.

Problème : Sur certaines motocyclettes, le faisceau de câbles du commutateur gauche du guidon pourrait ne pas avoir été fabriqué correctement. Par conséquent, le klaxon et/ou les feux de route pourraient ne pas fonctionner. Risques pour la sécurité : Un phare qui ne fonctionne pas correctement pourrait réduire la visibilité. Un klaxon qui ne fonctionne pas pourrait empêcher le conducteur d'avertir les autres d'une situation dangereuse. Ces deux problèmes pourraient augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Honda doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur motocyclette chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer le boîtier du commutateur gauche du guidon.
