The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the radio may not have been manufactured properly and/or there could be a problem with the radio software. As a result, the rearview camera image may not display correctly or at all. Safety Risk: A rearview camera image that doesn't display correctly could reduce a driver's ability to see behind the vehicle while backing up. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: FCA Canada will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the radio. The dealer will also update the radio software, as necessary.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, la radio pourrait avoir été mal fabriquée et/ou il pourrait y avoir un problème dans le logiciel de la radio. Par conséquent, l'image de la caméra de recul pourrait ne pas s'afficher correctement ou ne pas s'afficher du tout. Risques pour la sécurité : Une image de caméra de recul qui ne s'affiche pas correctement pourrait réduire la capacité du conducteur à voir derrière le véhicule en marche arrière. Cela pourrait augmenter les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : FCA Canada doit aviser les propriétaires par écrit et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour le faire inspecter et, au besoin, faire remplacer la radio. De plus, le concessionnaire mettra à jour le logiciel de la radio, au besoin.
