The issue

Issue: On certain RV trailers, the 12 V wiring for the distribution panel may not have been installed properly. As a result, the wiring may not have proper circuit protection. If this happens, the wiring could overheat and melt before the circuit breaker trips. Safety Risk: Wiring that overheats and melts could create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Forest River advises you not to plug in the RV trailer until the recall repairs have been completed. Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to a dealership to correct the wiring.

Problème : Sur certaines caravanes, le câblage de 12 V du panneau de distribution pourrait avoir été mal installé. Par conséquent, le câblage pourrait être mal protégé. Si cela se produisait, le câblage pourrait surchauffer et fondre avant que le disjoncteur ne se déclenche. Risques pour la sécurité : Un câblage qui surchauffe et fond pourrait créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Afin de réduire les risques pour la sécurité, Forest River recommande de ne pas brancher la caravane jusqu'à ce que les réparations à faire dans le cadre de ce rappel aient été effectuées. Forest River doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur caravane chez un concessionnaire pour faire corriger le câblage.
