The issue

Issue: On certain trucks, the quick release valves for the parking brake may not work properly. As a result, the transmission may not shift into neutral (N) automatically. If this happens, the truck may move suddenly. Safety Risk: Sudden and unexpected movement of the truck could increase the risk of an injury or a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, International Motors recommends that you confirm the parking brake light is turned on and the transmission is in neutral (N) before exiting the truck until the recall repairs have been completed. International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to replace the quick release valve(s).

Problème : Sur certains camions, les valves de desserrage rapide des freins arrière pourraient ne pas fonctionner correctement. Par conséquent, la boîte de vitesses pourrait ne pas passer automatiquement au point mort. Par conséquent, le camion pourrait se déplacer soudainement. Risques pour la sécurité : Un mouvement soudain et inattendu du camion pourrait augmenter les risques de blessure ou d'accident. Mesures Correctives : International Motors doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur camion chez un concessionnaire pour faire remplacer la ou les valves de desserrage rapide.
