The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, a software problem could cause the steering wheel to move suddenly. Safety Risk: A steering wheel that moves suddenly could increase the risk of a crash and/or injury. Corrective Actions: BMW will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the steering system software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a BMW dealership.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, un problème logiciel pourrait faire en sorte que le volant bouge soudainement. Risques pour la sécurité : Un volant qui bouge soudainement pourrait augmenter le risque d'accident et/ou de blessure. Mesures correctives : BMW doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et envoyer une mise à jour logicielle par transmission sans fil aux véhicules admissibles pour mettre à jour le logiciel du système de direction. Il est également possible de prendre rendez-vous pour faire effectuer la mise à jour chez un concessionnaire BMW.
