The issue

Issue: On certain electric school buses, the power steering pump could fail when starting the vehicle or while driving. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power steering assist. Safety Risk: A loss of power steering assist can cause a sudden increase in steering effort, especially at low speeds, and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Micro Bird will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to update the power steering pump software.

Problème : Sur certains autobus scolaires électriques, la pompe de servodirection pourrait faire défaut lors du démarrage du véhicule ou pendant la conduite. Si cela se produisait, il pourrait y avoir une perte soudaine de la servodirection. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de la servodirection peut augmenter de façon soudaine l'effort à exercer sur le volant, surtout à basse vitesse. Cela pourrait accroître les risques d'accident. Mesures correctives : Micro Bird doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'apporter leur autobus scolaire chez un concessionnaire pour faire mettre à jour le logiciel de la pompe de servodirection.
