The issue

Issue: On certain scooters, the wrong rearview mirrors may have been installed. As a result, the mirrors are missing the "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear." warning. Note: This recall only affects certain Officina 8 models. Safety Risk: If the warning is missing, the rider may not be aware that objects reflected in the mirrors appear farther away than they actually are. This could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Piaggio will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your scooter to a dealership to replace the rearview mirrors.

Problème : Sur certains scooters, les mauvais rétroviseurs pourraient avoir été installés. Par conséquent, l'avertissement « Les objets réfléchis par le rétroviseur sont plus près qu'ils ne le paraissent » n'apparaît pas sur les rétroviseurs. Remarque : Ce rappel concerne seulement certains modèles Officina 8. Risques pour la sécurité : Si l'avertissement est absent, le conducteur pourrait ne pas se rendre compte que les objets reflétés dans les rétroviseurs apparaissent plus éloignés qu'ils ne le sont en réalité. Cela pourrait augmenter le risque d'accident. Mesures correctives : Piaggio doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur scooter chez un concessionnaire pour remplacer les rétroviseurs.
