The issue

Issue: On certain vehicles, the engine wiring harness may not have enough protection and could become damaged by contact with surrounding components. As a result, the wiring harness could short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install additional protection on the engine wiring harness. The dealer will also repair or replace the engine wiring harness, as necessary.

Problème : Sur certains véhicules, le faisceau de câbles du moteur pourrait ne pas être suffisamment protégé et pourrait s'endommager par contact avec des composants qui se trouvent à proximité. Par conséquent, le faisceau de câbles pourrait subir un court-circuit. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit peut créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Ford doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur demander d'amener leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire pour faire installer une protection supplémentaire sur le faisceau de câbles du moteur. Le concessionnaire doit également réparer ou remplacer le faisceau de câbles du moteur, au besoin.
