The issue
Issue: On a small number of aerial devices, the boom stow switch wiring could become damaged. If this happens, the wiring could short circuit and melt. Safety Risk: A short circuit and/or wiring that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions and a kit for how to inspect and, if necessary, install a guard to protect the wiring. If the wiring is damaged, it will be replaced.

Problème : Sur un petit nombre de dispositifs aériens, le câblage de l'interrupteur de rangement de la flèche pourrait s'endommager. Si cela se produisait, le câblage pourrait court-circuiter et fondre. Risques pour la sécurité : Un court-circuit et/ou un câblage qui surchauffe peuvent créer un risque d'incendie. Mesures correctives : Altec Industries doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et leur fournir des instructions et une trousse pour inspecter et, au besoin, installer un protecteur pour protéger le câblage. Si le câblage est endommagé, il sera remplacé.
