The issue

Issue: On certain transit buses, a problem could cause the control unit to shut down. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. Note: This recall replaces Transport Canada recall no. 2026-220 Safety Risk: A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A bus that is disabled could result in a transfer of passengers in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury. Corrective Actions: Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to correct the connections to the control unit and for updating the vehicle software.

Problème : Sur certains autobus de transport en commun, un problème pourrait entraîner l'arrêt de l'unité de commande. Si cela se produisait, il pourrait y avoir une perte soudaine de puissance aux roues. Remarque : Ce rappel remplace le rappel numéro 2026-220 de Transports Canada. Risques pour la sécurité : Une perte de puissance aux roues pourrait augmenter le risque d'accident. Un autobus en panne pourrait entraîner le transfert des passagers dans un environnement non contrôlé, ce qui pourrait créer un risque de blessure. Mesures correctives : Nova Bus doit aviser les propriétaires par la poste et vous fournir des instructions sur la manière de corriger les connexions à l'unité de commande et de mettre à jour le logiciel du véhicule.
