The risk
This product poses a serious risk of injuries because water, which turns into ice at low temperatures, can get into the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve damaging the valve and making it leaky. The valve is located on the intake manifold and plays a key role in reducing unwanted engine emissions. When the valve is flawed it can cause excessive emissions of exhaust gases, engine's choking and stalling while accelerating and finally lowering efficiency of the braking system.
Product: - 2,2 JTD Fiat Ulysse produced in the period between August 2002 and December 2004; - Lancia Phedra 2.0 produced in period between October 2002 and December 2004.
