The risk
This product poses a risk of injuries because some castings may have been produced with insufficient amount of material thickness in an area where the lower a-arm and ball-joint are attached to the front bearing carrier. If the attachment point for the lower a-arm and ball-joint were to fail as a result of reduced cross-section, the operator may lose control of the vehicle, possibly resulting in severe injury or death. This product does not comply with the Machinery Directive. Two incidents without injuries reported by the UK and France.
Product: Recall concerns 2006 model year with production up to and including 30 January 2006.
