The risk
The product poses a risk of injuries because non-compliant positioning of components during welding of the guide tube in the seat back frames of front seats, which can in specific cases, lead to the guide tube breaking free of the frame. This results in insufficient support to the headrests with the risk that the latter are unable to withstand the impact of a collision or accident. The vehicles concerned are to be inspected and the components exchanged as appropriate.
Product: This concerns vehicles produced in the period 27 October 2004 to 28 October 2004.
