Service bulletins
What Genesis told its dealers about the 2025 Genesis GV70: known faults, fixes and updates.
| Bulletin | Summary |
|---|---|
| 11012048 | Certain 2025MY GV70 (JK1A) vehicles may experience an illuminated check engine light for DTC P059A from a faulty connection due to improper soldering within the sensor components. This bulletin outlines the procedure to replace the active air flap (AAF) on-board diagnostic (OBD) sensors to resolve this issue. |
| 11009769 | Certain GV70 (JK1A) and GV70 Electrified (JK1A EV) vehicles may exhibit a display screen flickering or intermittently going blank. This may be due to the shield width of the coaxial cable being too wide, causing a loose connection. Follow the procedures in this bulletin to adjust the width of the shield using a supplied shield adjustment jig. |
| 11009768 | Certain GV70 (JK1, JK1A), GV80 (JX1) and G80 (RG3) vehicles may have a hum or whine noise condition from the rear differential at certain speeds. This bulletin describes the procedure to inspect the vehicle for the hum or whine noise and if necessary to tighten the rear differential lock nut first. If the hum or whine noise remains, then replace the rear differential or other driveline components as necessary. |
| 11006825 | This bulletin provides information to inspect and replace the front or rear wheel bearing hub assemblies for all Genesis vehicles. This procedure is applicable when noise (whirring, roaring, grinding, rumbling, etc.) is present which gets louder when driving with more speed. |
| 11000783 | Certain GV70 (JK1 and JK1A), GV80 (JX1) and G80 (RG3) vehicles may have a hum or whine noise condition from the rear differential at certain speeds. This bulletin describes the procedure to inspect the vehicle for the hum or whine noise and if necessary to tighten the rear differential lock nut first. If the hum or whine noise remains, then replace the rear differential or other driveline components as necessary. |
| 11000776 | When servicing an 8-speed automatic transmission vehicle with a Check Engine light and any of the DTCs listed below, follow the Service Procedure and, if necessary, replace the E-module. |
| 10253049 | Genesis applies a Paint Protection Film (PPF) on new vehicles before delivery to dealerships. It provides a barrier between the paint and contaminants, such as rail dust, acid rain, and industrial fallout. In rare cases, the paint can become clouded under the PPF. These spots are the result of moisture trapped between the PPF and the paint. |
| 10253048 | This TSB provides a procedure to diagnose and repair a transmission for the following Incorrect Ratio DTC (transmission clutch slipping more than 200 rpm in gear). |
| 10253038 | This bulletin provides a procedure to transfer oil pressure data to the TCU using GDS Mobile. This procedure is necessary to reduce the TCU learning time and improve the shift quality. Before replacing an automatic transmission (Pages 2~3): Input the data from the new transmission into the TCU using the GDS. Before replacing a TCU (Pages 4~6): Back up the oil pressure data from the old TCU into the GDS and then transfer the data to the new TCM. |
