The issue
MOTORHOMES BUILT ON CHEVROLET, GMC AND DODGE CHASSIS. A SEAT BELT BUCKLE DESIGN MISALIGNMENT MAY ALLOW ONLY ONE PAWL TO ENGAGE THE TONGUE. A SECOND PAWL WOULD NOT BE ENGAGED. THIS FALSE LATCHING (PARTIAL ENGAGEMENT) MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY TO THE SEAT OCCUPANT IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.

Une faute de conception (mauvais alignement), des boucles de ceinture de sécurité peut ne permettre qu'à un seul cliquet de retenir la languette. Le second cliquet ne retiendrait pas cette dernière. Par suite de ce faux enclenchement (ou engagement partiel), l'occupant pourrait subir des blessures corporelles lors d'une collision.
