The issue

THE THROTTLE LINKAGE RETAINING CLIP MAY INTERFERE WITH THE THROTTLE BODY CASTING DURING NORMAL ROTATION OF THE THROTTLE LEVER. THIS COULD ALLOW THE ACCELERATOR LINKAGE TO BIND AND PREVENT THE THROTTLE FROM CLOSING. iF THIS WERE TO OCCUR, VEHICLE SPEED WOULD REMAIN CONSTANT EVEN THOUGH THE DRIVER HAS REMOVED HIS FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. LOSS OF ACCELERATOR CONTROL COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.

L'agrafe de retenue de la tringle du papillon des gaz peut frotter contre le carburateur pendant l'ouverture normale du papillon. Dans ce cas, la tringle peut se courber et empêcher le papillon de se fermer complètement. Si cela se produit, la vitesse du véhicule reste constante même si le conducteur lâche l'accélérateur. Cette impossibilité de commander la vitesse du véhicule peut entraîner un accident.
