The issue

LIGHT TRUCKS WITH 5 LITRE ENGINES AND ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION. BURRS AND/OR SHARP EDGES MAY BE PRESENT ON THE FUEL RAILS AT THE PUSH CONNECT FITTING OF EITHER THE SUPPLY OR RETURN LINE ASSEMBLIES. THESE BURRS OR SHARP EDGES MAY HAVE DAMAGED THE O-RING SEALS IN THE PUSH CONNECT FITTING. THIS COULD RESULT IN FUEL LEAKAGE WHEN THE ENGINE IS STARTED PRESENTING THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE.

Les raccords-poussoirs des conduites d'essence d'alimentation ou de retour peuvent présenter des aspérités ou des bords tranchants qui peuvent avoir endommagé les joints toriques d'étanchéité de ces raccords. Cela peut entraîner des fuites d'essence pendant le fonctionnement du moteur. Un incendie dans le compartiment moteur est alors possible.
