The issue

On certain Saab 9000S and 9000 turbo 16 vehicles, the ball chain between the cruise control vacuum regulator and the gas pedal arm may get caught in the upper end of the gas pedal arm. This may impede the full return of the gas pedal to the fully closed throttle position. (this defect cannot cause unintended acceleration). Correction: A plastic cover will be installed over the end of the gas pedal arm.

Sur certains Saab 9000S et 9000 turbo 16, la chaînette à billes reliant le régulateur de vitesse à dépression au levier de l'accélérateur peut se prendre dans la fente de fixation de chaîne à l'extrémité supérieure du levier de l'accélérateur, empêchant ainsi la pédale de l'accélérateur de revenir à la position "papillon fermé". Cette défectuosité ne risque toutefois pas de causer une accélération involontaire.
