The issue

On certain vehicles, a short circuit in the generator could cause excessive current flow in the generator wiring harness resulting in overheating and a possible engine compartment fire. Correction: Generator wiring harness will be replaced with one that will open, as a fuse would under these conditions, to eliminate the potential for an underhood fire.

Sur certains véhicules, un court-circuit dans l'alternateur peut causer une surcharge de courant dans le faisceau de câbles, ce qui pourrait faire surchauffer les câbles et peut être même causer un incendie dans le compartiment moteur. Correction : Le faisceau de câbles de l'alternateur devra être remplacé par un faisceau de câbles coupe-circuit pouvant ouvrir le circuit comme le ferait un fusible dans des circonstances semblables, pour éliminer ce risque d'incendie dans le compartiment moteur.
