The issue

THE ENGINE BRAKE, IF ENGAGED, WILL DEFEAT THE AUTOMATIC BRAKING CONTROL (ABS) SYSTEM. THE ENGINE BRAKE COULD LOCK UP THE REAR WHEELS ON A SLICK PAVEMENT, AND THE ABS SYSTEM WOULD NOT PREVENT THE LOCK UP. CORRECTION: WIRING WHICH CONNECTS THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECU) TO THE ABS CONTROLLER WILL BE INSTALLED. THIS WILL ALLOW THE ABS TO OVERRIDE THE ENGINE BRAKE.

Le frein moteur, s’il est engagé, rend inopérant le système de commande automatique du freinage (ABS). Le frein moteur peut provoquer le blocage des roues arrière sur chaussée glissante, et le système ABS ne serait pas en mesure de l’empêcher.Correction : On devra raccorder l’ordinateur de gestion du moteur au bloc de commande du système ABS, ce qui permettra à l’ABS d’annuler l’effet du frein moteur.
