The issue

Certain vehicles were either produced or serviced with a horn assembly which may fail. As a result, the horn may either become inoperable or activate without pressing the horn button. Under certain conditions, heat could build up in the horn assembly and an underhood fire could result without prior warning. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary replace the horn assembly.

Certains véhicules, pourrait avoir été dotés d’un klaxon défectueux lors du montage ou d’un entretien. Les klaxons défectueux peuvent tomber en panne ou se faire entendre sans qu’on appuie sur la commande. Dans certains cas, le klaxon peut surchauffer et provoquer sans avertissement un incendie sous le capot. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer le klaxon.
