The issue

Certain motorhomes have a generator battery cable which may be routed too closely to a sheared notch in the heat shield. This routing condition can result in damage to the battery cable insulation, leading to an electrical short circuit and a possible fire. Correction: Vehicles will be inspected and repaired including replacement of any damaged wiring or other vehicular components.

Sur certains véhicules, le câble électrique qui relie le générateur à la batterie peut avoir été acheminé trop près d’une entaille cisaillée dans le bouclier thermique. Il se peut donc que l’isolation soit endommagée et qu’il se produise un court-circuit, ce qui risque de provoquer un incendie. Correction : Les véhicules devront être inspectés et réparés, ce qui comprend le remplacement de tous les câbles et de tous les composants endommagés.
