The issue

On certain vehiclces, water and/or road salt in the proximity of the air bag control module may lead to corrosion. Such corrosion could result in illumination of the air bag warning light and it may also result in an inadvertent deployment of the air bags. Correction: The airbag electronic control module (AECM) will be replaced and located to the top of the transmission tunnel, just below the centre console glove box.

Sur certains véhicules, le module de commande du coussin gonflable peut corroder si de l’eau et du sel routier s’infiltrent à proximité. La corrosion du module peut faire allumer le voyant lumineux du système de retenue supplémentaire et même entraîner le déploiement accidentel des coussins. Correction : Le module de commande électronique des coussins gonflables devra être remplacé et installé sur le tunnel de la boîte de vitesses, juste en-dessous du coffre à gants de la console centrale.
