The issue

Certain vehicles do not comply with CMVSS 104 - Windshield Wiping and Washing Systems. Malfunctioning microprocessor may cause a "latch-up" condition in the wiper system controller. If this occurs, the operator will not be able to operate the system in both the low and high-speed modes required by the standard. Correction: Dealers will replace the windshield wiper motor cover which contains the microprocessor..

Certains véhicules ne satisfont pas aux exigences de la NSVAC 104 - Système essuie-glace et lave-glace. Un microprocesseur défectueux peut provoquer le verrouillage du contrôleur du système essuie-glace et lave-glace. Si c'est le cas, le conducteur sera incapable de faire fonctionner le système en modes lent et rapide comme l'exige la norme. Correction : Les concessionaires remplaceront le couvercle du moteur des essuie-glaces contenant le microprocesseur.
