The issue

On certain vehicles, there is a potential for excessive static build-up in the trunk floor mats of the subject vehicles. The static build-up can cause a static discharge when individuals move or remove items from the trunk compartment, which can damage the electrical system components located in the trunk including the vehicle's battery. Correction: Dealer will install a static insulation material between the carpet and the battery.

Sur certains véhicules, il peut y avoir accumulation excessive d'électricité statique dans la moquette du coffre arrière, ce qui peut provoquer, quand on y place ou en retire quelque chose, une décharge statique qui risque d'endommager des composants du circuit électrique qui se trouvent dans le coffre, notamment la batterie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront poser de l'isolation statique entre la moquette et la batterie.
