The issue

On certain vehicles, the steering column intermediate shaft is undersized, which could allow the intermediate shaft to spin inside the steering column coupling resulting in loss of directional control of the vehicle. If this were to happen while the vehicle is moving, a crash could result without prior warning. Correction: Dealer will inspect, and replace if necessary, the steering column intermediate shaft.

Sur certains véhicules, l'arbre intermédiaire de la colonne de direction n'est pas suffisamment gros et risque de tourner à l'intérieur de l'accouplement de la colonne de direction, entraînant une perte de contrôle de la direction. Si l'arbre se désolidarise subitement de l'accouplement alors que le véhicule est en marche, un accident peut s'ensuivre. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et remplacer s'il y a lieu l'arbre intermédiaire de la colonne de direction.
