The issue

On certain vehicles, a post molded into the inside surface of the front safety belt buckle cover may fracture. The fractured buckle cover post may affect the buckle function and may exhibit either "no latch" - an overt condition as the tongue will not latch into the buckle, or "partial latch" - likely an overt condition because, although the tongue can be inserted into the buckle and appear to be engaged, it will release from the buckle without the push button being depressed when a relatively low load is applied such as when an occupant moves slightly in the seat. Correction: Dealer will replace both front safety belt buckle covers.

Sur certains véhicules, une tige moulée dans la surface interne du couvercle de la boucle des ceintures de sécurité avant peut se briser. Si c'est le cas, la boucle ne fonctionnera pas correctement; elle pourrait soit ne pas s'enclencher, ce qui serait évident puisque l'utilisateur ne pourrait pas insérer la languette dans la boucle, soit s'enclencher partiellement, c.-à-d. que l'on pourrait insérer la languette dans la boucle et apparemment l'enclencher, mais elle sortirait de la boucle sans que l'on ait appuyé sur le bouton poussoir, même avec l'application d'une charge relativement faible, comme p. ex. si l'occupant bouge légèrement. Correction : Le concessionnaire devra remplacer le couvercle de la boucle des deux ceintures de sécurité avant.
