The issue
On certain vehicles, the fasteners that secure the battery positive cable to the bulkhead pass-through stud may be missing or not tightened to the appropriate specifications. This could result in a potential instrument panel fire. Correction: Dealers will visually inspect and re-torque the fastener on both sides of the bulkhead pass-through stud. Any fasteners found to be missing or damaged will be replaced.

Sur certains véhicules, les dispositifs de fixation qui fixent le câble positif de la batterie au passe câble pourraient être manquants; ils pourraient aussi ne pas être serrés conformément aux exigences prescrites. Ce défaut pourrait causer un incendie dans le tableau de bord. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront effectuer l'inspection visuelle et le resserrage du dispositif de fixation des deux côtés du passe câble. On devra remplacer tout dispositif de fixation manquant ou endommagé.
