The issue

On certain short and long wheel base regular cab vehicles, the frame may have a center rail section flange that was not properly formed. In the event of a collision, an improperly formed center rail section could potentially puncture the fuel tank, resulting in a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire. Correction: Dealers will inspect the frame flange in the area of the fuel tank and, if it is found to be malformed, will replace the vehicle.

Sur certains véhicules à cabine régulière à empattement long ou court, le châssis pourrait comporter une aile d'une section du longeron central qui n'a pas été formée correctement. En cas de collision, une section du longeron central mal formée pourrait percer le réservoir de carburant, ce qui provoquerait une fuite. En présence d'une source d'inflammation, une fuite de carburant pourrait provoquer un incendie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter l'aile du châssis dans la zone du réservoir de carburant et, s'il s'avère qu'elle est mal formée, ils devront remplacer le véhicule.
