The issue
On certain trailer mounted, articulating boom supported, aerial work platforms, composite bearings could fail, leading to damage and eventual failure of the jib structure. If the jib fails, the personnel platform could drop when elevated, causing the platform occupant to be injured. Correction: Genie will provide a jib assembly kit and installation instructions to owners of affected machines.

Sur certaines plates formes de travail aériennes montées sur une remorque et soutenues par un mât articulé, les roulements à billes fabriqués à partir de matériaux composites pourraient faire défaut, ce qui endommagerait la flèche et pourrait même la rendre hors d'usage. Si la flèche devenait hors d'usage, la plate forme servant à transporter le personnel pourrait tomber, et la personne qui s'y trouve pourrait être blessée. Correction : Genie Industries devra donner une trousse de remplacement de la flèche ainsi que les instructions d'installation aux propriétaires des machines visées.
