The issue
On certain ATV's, incorrect routing of the throttle cable may cause the cable to bind in the chassis. If the cable is bound and the handlebars are turned either full right or full left, it may cause the throttle to open and allow the ATV to accelerate. Unexpected acceleration could cause the operator to lose control of the vehicle and crash, possibly resulting in severe injury or death. Correction: Dealers will re-route the throttle cable.

Sur certains VTT, un mauvais acheminement du câble d'accélérateur pourrait engendrer le coincement du câble dans le cadre. Si le câble se coinçait et que les poignées étaient complètement braquées vers la droite ou vers la gauche, la manette des gaz pourrait être actionnée et le VTT pourrait ainsi accélérer. Une accélération subite pourrait faire perdre au conducteur le contrôle du véhicule et provoquer un accident, ce qui causerait possiblement des blessures graves au conducteur ou son décès. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront réacheminer le câble d'accélérateur.
