The issue

On certain vehicles, the hydraulic brake booster's pressure accumulator may crack and/or separate from the Hydro-Boost assembly during normal vehicle operating conditions. If a separation occurred and the hood of the vehicle was open, fragments from the accumulator could cause injury to people in the immediate area. In addition, the presence of this crack or fractured surface could allow the hydraulic fluid to leak from the accumulator circuit of the booster assembly. The loss of fluid would cause increased steering and braking effort. Correction: Dealers will test and, if necessary, replace the Hydro-Boost assembly.

Sur certains véhicules, l'accumulateur de pression du servo hydraulique de freinage pourrait se fissurer ou se détacher de l'Hydro-Boost dans des conditions d'utilisation normales. Si un détachement se produisait et que le capot du véhicule était ouvert, des fragments provenant de l'accumulateur pourraient blesser des personnes se trouvant à proximité. De plus, la présence de cette fissure ou de cette surface fracturée pourrait permettre au liquide hydraulique de fuir du circuit d'accumulateur du servo. La perte de liquide augmenterait l'effort nécessaire pour tourner et freiner. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront tester et, s'il y a lieu, remplacer l'Hydro-Boost.
