The issue

On certain vehicles, the interlock operation of the ignition switch may not function properly, making it possible to turn the ignition key to the OFF position and remove the key without shifting the transmission to PARK. If the driver does not shift to PARK before removing the key and fails to engage the parking brake, the vehicle could roll and a crash could occur. Correction: Dealers will perform the required inspection and necessary repairs.

Sur certains véhicules, le commutateur d'allumage pourrait ne pas fonctionner adéquatement, ce qui permettrait de mettre la clé de contact en position OFF et de l'enlever sans avoir placé la boîte de vitesses en position PARK. Si le conducteur ne place pas la boîte de vitesses en position PARK avant d'enlever la clé et qu'il oublie de serrer le frein de stationnement, le véhicule pourrait se mettre à rouler et un accident pourrait se produire. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront effectuer l'inspection requise et les réparations nécessaires.
