The issue
Certain Ford Freestar vehicles modified for wheelchair accessibility by Liberty Motor Company Inc. do not comply with the requirements of CMVSS 210. The second row bench seat only has one set of lower universal anchors (UAS) instead of the required two sets. Also, certain vehicles do not have tether anchor brackets for the bench's two outboard seating positions. This non-compliance would prevent proper installation of a child seat to an outboard seating position. Correction: Owners should contact Liberty Motor Company and then bring their vehicles to a trusted service shop or Ford dealership to have two tether anchors and two UAS brackets installed.

Certains Ford Freestar modifiés par Liberty Motor Company Inc. pour en permettre l'accès aux personnes en fauteuil roulant ne satisfont pas aux exigences de la NSVAC 210. Le banquette de la deuxième rangée n'a qu'un jeu de dispositifs d'ancrage universels inférieurs plutôt que les deux jeux nécessaires. De plus, certains véhicules ne disposent pas de supports d'ancrage d'attache aux deux places latérales de la banquette. Cette non conformité empêche d'installer adéquatement un siège d'enfant à une place latérale. Correction : Les propriétaires doivent contacter Liberty Motor Company, puis se rendre avec leur véhicule chez un concessionnaire Ford afin de faire poser deux ancrages d'attache et deux supports de dispositif d'ancrage universel.
