The issue

On certain vehicles, the parking brake lever ratchet pawl was not properly manufactured and may damage the teeth of the parking brake lever ratchet. Damaged parking brake lever ratchet teeth may prevent the parking brake from engaging or could allow it to release after being engaged. The inability to engage, or the inadvertent release of the parking brake lever may allow the vehicle to roll while it is parked, which may result in a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the parking brake lever assembly.

Sur certains véhicules, l'encliquetage du levier du frein de stationnement n'a pas été adéquatement fabriqué et pourrait endommager les dents de la roue à cliquet du levier du frein de stationnement. Si cela se produisait, les dents pourraient empêcher le frein de stationnement de s'enclencher ou causer le desserrement du frein de stationnement. Dans les deux cas, le véhicule pourrait bouger pendant qu'il est stationné, ce qui pourrait causer un accident. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront remplacer le levier du frein de stationnement.
