The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with a Caterpillar engine, the Variable Valve Actuation oil line (VVA line) used on 6 cylinder, 15L turbocharged and air-to-air aftercooled diesel engines may wear against the sharp edge of the cylinder head if not oriented correctly. Oil line wear may cause an oil leak and a potential fire hazard. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the VVA line.

Sur certains véhicules équipés d'un moteur Caterpillar, la canalisation d'huile du système de calage variable des soupapes utilisée sur des moteurs turbodiesel 6 cylindres de 15 L à refroidissement intermédiaire air/air pourrait s'user en frottant contre le rebord effilé de la culasse si elle n'était pas orientée correctement. L'usure de la canalisation d'huile pourrait causer une fuite d'huile et un incendie. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, s'il y a lieu, remplacer la canalisation d'huile du système de calage variable des soupapes.
