The issue

Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 114 - Locking and Immobilization Systems. The steering wheel lock may engage with the ignition in the "OFF" position, even if the transmission is out of the "PARK" position. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the steering wheel lock assembly.

Certains véhicules ne satisfont pas aux exigences de la NSVAC 114 - Système de verrouillage. Le dispositif de verrouillage du volant pourrait s'enclencher à un moment où la clé de contact est en position OFF, même si la boîte de vitesses n'est pas en position PARK. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer le dispositif de verrouillage du volant.
