The issue
On certain vehicles, the instrument cluster circuit that controls interior lighting may overheat and cause an instrument panel fire. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the instrument cluster assembly. If the cluster shows no evidence of damage, it will be re-programmed to prevent this condition. In addition, all vehicles will receive a modification that directs interior lighting to a portion of the integrated circuit with additional current carrying capacity.

Sur certains véhicules, le circuit du groupe d'instruments qui commande l'éclairage intérieur pourrait surchauffer et engendrer un incendie au niveau du tableau de bord. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter et, le cas échéant, remplacer le groupe d'instruments. Si le groupe d'instruments ne montre aucun signe de dommage, il devra être reprogrammé pour empêcher que le problème en question ne survienne. De plus, tous les véhicules devront subir une modification qui dirige l'éclairage intérieur jusqu'à une portion du circuit intégré avec une capacité de transport de courant supplémentaire.
