The issue

On certain vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine, the coolant overflow from the recovery bottle may be drawn into the left radiator cooling fan motor connector. This can cause an electrical short circuit and could result in an engine compartment fire. Correction: Dealers will inspect the connector for contamination or damage, install a wiring harness overlay and, if necessary, replace the fan motor.

Sur certains véhicules munis d'un moteur de 2,4 L, le surplus de liquide de refroidissement provenant du vase d'expansion pourrait être aspiré dans le raccord de gauche du moteur du ventilateur de refroidissement du radiateur. Cela pourrait causer un court circuit et engendrer un incendie dans le compartiment moteur. Correction : Les concessionnaires devront inspecter le raccord pour s'assurer qu'il n'est ni contaminé ni endommagé, poser un recouvrement de faisceau de câbles et, le cas échéant, remplacer le moteur du ventilateur.
